Huricane Katrina

and other emergencies

The Children's Workshop for the Arts pulled together at the George R. Brown Convention Center to serve the parents and young children who were forced to evacuate during huricane Katrina. Children's activities were carefully planned and and materials provided to serve the young children without reference to their race or religion, etc.
A complete array of food, clothing and housing services were prepared by the members of the Workshop for the Arts by working hand-in-hand with other organizations of civil society for the benefit of the refugees.
